This murder mystery novel had the format of Sherlock Holmes. There was one background story about the protagonist and his “family” and then 3 shorter standalone murder mystery stories within that longer novel.
Mr Book owns a bookshop and for some reason also helps the police solve murder mysteries. The characters were really likeable, I just didn’t love the murder mysteries and at times they were hard to follow.
