Fiction Romance

This romance novel had really likable main characters. It’s a twist on the Hallmark movie storylines i find so stupid. In this book, the work-a-holic city woman doesn’t find a happily ever after in a rural small town. But they get meta with it, making lots of references to how that’s always what happens. I like that she doesn’t want to change, and then just doesn’t. Showing that its okay to be career oriented.

There’s still a few dumb unrealistic moments. It wouldn’t be a romance novel without it. But the book was more self-aware than others.

The surprise in this book was the relationship between the two sisters. It had me tearing up at the end. It was far more of an emotional ending than a sexy one like i expected.
