Drama Fiction Murder Mystery

A Slow Fire Burning

4 stars

This book was really well written and engaging, just like her previous book The Girl On The Train (both are standalone stories). But it was also disturbing at times in a dark, unsettling way.

I think it also warrants a trigger warning for child death. I would have felt better off never reading that.

I wavered on giving this 3 or 4 stars. Just because I didn’t care for the story doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. It was well written and engaging. It was just unsettling.
