Book 2
It was a bit of a slow start, and the length of the novel was daunting. But as it developed I became so invested in the characters I couldn’t put it down.
The story follows a number of different characters, one of which is a Golem, brought to life by a young girl. The other main character is a Jinni, and the story circles around them trying to get by surrounded by humans in New York city.
It turns out it’s a sequel (not sure if there’s a whole series), but this one worked well as a standalone, it recapped any important information from the first book.
